SOME HINTS
- don't waste time on flashy packaging or pushy "management". Neither impresses. Someone from the band sending us a raw and exciting recording is much more likely to succeed than a pushy manager sending us a glossy PR package.
Remember: **Only rubbish bands need to try hard to get gigs**
- contact us by e-mail. Send myspace link. Not an mp3. Especially not 10 mp3s that clog our inboxes. Send reviews, description of the band, info on who you've played with before etc. Please don’t send a myspace link and say “we don’t sound like that now”! Try putting a representative song up there instead…
- do some research. Look at the bands we put on. If you want a support, suggest who with, and be realistic:- we'll try and put bills together that have some cohesiveness to them.
- be original. Or if you can't be original, then sound like someone good. Or at least someone that every other damn band isn't copying.
- be weird. The weirder the better! Middle of the road, plodding Oasis-lite will NOT make us go "what the hell was that!"
- don't send unsolicited CDs. You are wasting your time and money! We have far too many to listen to already. If we like you we'll ask for a CD.
We look forward to hearing from you :)
